SUNDAY ASHTANGA IMMERSION WITH MILKA

During this workshop we’ll focus on ways to find a balanced and holistic way to practice, which will suit your body and mind. Ashtanga Yoga is often considered an intense style of Yoga, but the truth is that practiced with a correct approach it is suitable for anyone, no matter your age, weight or flexibility.

The workshop is appropriate both for regular practitioners and total beginners. A great opportunity to go deeper into the Yoga practice, taking it to the next level. Traditional Yoga aims for the practice to become more than just the physical exercise, but a meditation, connecting the body, mind, and breath.

We will take a look at ways of practicing Ashtanga Yoga that go beyond the physical, with a deeper focus on Pranayama. How can we use pranayama breathing techniques as a way to set up a meditative practice?

During the workshop we will start with the standing sequence of the Primary, followed by a sitting practice, pranayama and a long relaxation in Savasana. We’ll finish the workshop by sharing a cup of tea & refreshments.

ASHTANGA YOGA – A MOVING MEDITATION

A great opportunity to go deeper into the Ashtanga practice, taking it to the next level. Traditional Yoga aims for the asana practice to become more than just the physical exercise: a moving meditation, connecting the body, mind, and breath.

Following the traditional Ashtanga path, we will learn about the Tristhana method, or the method of three: breathing, posture, and gazing point. We will analyse each asana, learning how to breathe and move in the vinyasa method and taking a closer look at the proper alignment, finding stability in each posture.  After the workshop you will be able to approach each asana with a feeling of comfort, safety, and stability; your breath will be able to flow smoothly, and your mind will be ready to find the meditative state.

The workshop will focus on postures from the primary series, appropriate both for regular practitioners and total yoga newbies.

Urban Retreat (1) (1).jpg

Treat yourself this summer to a Yoga mini-retreat in the city.

Start your day with energetic Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. This healing practice will help you build strength, flexibility, and find balance in your body and mind.

The vigorous dynamic flow will be followed by a relaxation session. You will be guided through different meditation techniques to increase awareness and find wellbeing in your daily life.

The last part of the retreat will revolve around food. We will talk about three fundamentals of the yogic diet: nutrition, ethics, and Ayurveda. Then you will identify your body type and create a brunch according to your personal characteristics.

At the end of the day, we will wind down by sharing the prepared food while talking about everything yoga-life-related.

Make one of your Sunday mornings special by getting deeper into your yoga practice, learning new tools for being healthy & happy, while meeting like-minded people from the yoga community.

Understanding Vinyasa

DSC07272 copy.jpg

Are you interested in Ashtanga Yoga or already a regular practitioner and would like to have a deeper understanding of your practice? This workshop will help you understand the vinyasa, what it’s for and why it is so important. You will also learn to know the difference between half and full vinyasa, helping you better understand the count in led class or prepare you for self-practice.
